For the best part of five years Keir Starmer employed a classically trained RSC actor and voice coach, Leonie Mellinger, in a bid to get into Downing Street and it is said that without her help his rise to power would not have been possible.

In 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Mellinger travelled to London on Christmas Eve to see Starmer when the country was under draconian Tier 4 lockdown rules. Apparently this all came to light because Mellinger posted images of herself travelling home on an empty tube train but for some unfathomable reason it was reported that she had been made a key worker and that because of this all rules were followed.

All at a time when the then current Prime Minister Boris Johnson was accused of eating a slice of birthday cake over the Cake/Partygate scandal, which significantly contributed to his downfall. He was hounded out of office over Cakegate by Starmer, who at the same time was having face to face meetings such as above, one of which was so imperative it had to be held on Christmas Eve. This was at a time when no other family or friends in the UK were allowed to spend any time together, no visiting, no travelling unless absolutely a “key worker” and people were not even permitted to be with dying loved ones. The penalties for breaking lockdown rules were severe and the population were scared into complying by the authorities, nobody was above the law hence the furore made by Starmer about what the government may or may not have been doing in their offices. Who could forget that image of the late Queen Elizabeth sitting alone at the funeral of her late husband Prince Philip.

Goose Stepping With A Voice Coach is a surreal fantasy that Not Working People envisage. Perhaps even made possible reality, under the paradox of quantum mechanics as first proposed in 1961 by physicist Eugene Wigner. Since referred to by the scientific community as Wigner’s Friend, whereby a thought experiment in quantum mechanics raises questions about the nature of reality. His experiment shows how the strange nature of the universe allows two observers—say, Wigner and Wigner’s friend—to experience different realities.

In this alternative reality on Goose Stepping With A Voice Coach we see the Christmas celebrations of a trio of people, brazenly partying on and goose stepping around the room while the rest of the country had to stay separated from friends and family. Millions of whom had spent time energy and money on their Christmas plans only to be cancelled at last minute for yet another lockdown. Obviously in this little fantasy the protagonists are not Starmer or Mellinger. It is a a Tier 4 lockdown Christmas Eve party of 3 rejoicing as they goose step ever closer to a dream of totalitarian power sometime in their alternate future.
